Detail

Mesh covers several distinct fabrics. Power mesh (fine, stretchy) behaves like a knit and needs a stretch stitch or narrow zigzag. Athletic mesh (open weave for venting) is more stable and sews like a woven. Structural mesh (pack hipbelt windows, back panels) is stiff and dimensionally stable; treat it like a synthetic woven. For MYOG packs, structural mesh with a straight stitch and walking foot gives clean seam lines. For apparel panels, a narrow zigzag retains stretch and survives the loading.
